Streszczenia
Employee acceptance of the use of the Internet of Things data for performance and work behaviour monitoring will be important for the ease of introducing of these solutions. The purpose of the text is to present preliminary consideration of factors important for fairness assessment of electronic monitoring systems in particular, and of the Internet of Things based monitoring in general, as well as 4 types of these tools usage. The result of the e-questionnaire survey among 100 truck drivers from Polish branch of an international logistic company have shown that gen-erally acceptance of electronic performance monitoring systems, based on data collected by methods similar to the Internet of Things, is higher if the systems are presented as: oriented for employee benefits (rather than benefits of employer), and with no invasiveness into private physical environment of driver (rather than with this invasiveness). Practical consequences for managers concerning the introduction of monitoring systems based on Internet of Things have been shown in the paper, as well as some directions for further research that are necessary for the organisation to limit the resistance in introducing such solutions.
