  • Analysing the efficiency of public policies on gender-based violence: A literature review. [AUT.] GUAITA-FERNÁNDEZ PILAR, MARTÍN MARTÍN JOSÉ MARÍA, RIBEIRO NAVARRETE SAMUEL, PUERTAS ROSA. Sustainable Technology and Entrepreneurship. DOI: 10.1016/j.stae.2023.100066
Gender-based violence is a global scourge advancing unchecked, penetrating all social and cultural strata. Physical, sexual and emotional abuse seriously affects women's freedom, with consequences not only psychological and physical but also economic, in the form of health, labour, legal and police costs. Therefore, society demands effective governmental measures based on respect for human rights and aimed at promoting equality to avoid intimidation and ill-treatment. This paper proposes to carry out a bibliometric analysis of the literature to investigate the state of the art of public policy and gender violence or domestic violence or violence against women to detect the patterns of behaviour that have marked the lines of study over the last two decades (2001–2022), by analysing a sample of 355 articles. The results reveal that scientific production has …
  • Higher Education In The Digital Age: Between Technology And The Didactic Relationship. [AUT.] PLOPA WOJCIECH. BPBN.
This article examines the challenges faced by Polish higher education in the context of global digitization and the transformation of academic teaching models. It assumes that the master–student relationship remains the foundation of academic education, and that digital technologies—if properly integrated—may support rather than replace human interaction. Based on a comparison of teaching practices in Poland and at leading institutions (Harvard, Oxford, MIT), a model of relational-technological didactics is proposed, along with the conditions necessary for its implementation. The article integrates pedagogical and sociological perspectives, highlighting the need for systemic changes in Polish academic education.
  • ADAPTATION PROBLEMS OF ETHNOLINGUISTIC MINORITIES FROM SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGICAL AND SOCIETAL PERSPECTIVES (Problemy adaptacyjne mniejszości etnojęzycznych z perspektywy psychologicznej i społecznej). [AUT.] ŁĄCZEK MARCIN. Pedagogika Katolicka.
Aim: The aim of this article is to present adaptation problems faced by bilingual representatives of ethnolinguistic minorities – from a socio-psychological perspective. Methods: This text is a review of literature on the subject matter under discussion. Results: Referring to the results of research conducted in the field, attention is paid to the most common adaptation problems from a socio-psychological perspective experienced by representatives of various ethnolinguistic minorities in bilingual education. The text also discusses issues related to the concept of bilingualism as well as its typology, outlining the differentia specifica existing between additive bilingualism and subtractive bilingualism. Conclusion: Bilingual education is an active, creative process that draws on linguistic, communicative and cognitive resources of the developing child (F. Genesee 2003). For that reason, quite a few studies have been …
  • Investigation of Alternative Serendipity Models for Solving the Problem of Torsion of Prismatic Rods. [AUT.] GUCHEK PETRO, ASTIONENKO IGOR, DUDCHENKO OLEG, LITVINENKO OLENA, KARPOVA SVITLANA. BPBN.
The article discusses the testing of new alternative models of the biquadratic finite element of the serendipity family using the problem of torsion of a non-circular cross-section rod and compares the results obtained with the exact solution. The conversion of the Lagrange model to the serendipity model is undoubtedly a useful procedure that has been known for over fifty years. However, not all results of such a transformation satisfy users, especially supporters of physical interpretations. This concerns the value of nodal loads of uniform force (mass) (load ‘spectrum’). For a long time, it was believed that there was a single basis for each serendipity finite element – a standard one, which was obtained algebraically. Using a new approach that employs a combined algebraic-geometric method for constructing basis functions on serendipity …
  • Human Subjectivity as the source of social thought of Blessed Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński. [AUT.] SŁOMSKI WOJCIECH. Pedagogika Katolicka.
In the social philosophy of Blessed Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński, the primacy of man refers mainly to the most important expression of humanity, i.e. the person and its dignity. The teaching of the Primate of the Millennium and the entire social teaching of the Church focuses on the ideal of social life corresponding to the dignity of the person. The goal of social life, or rather the goal of human life in society, is the development of a person in terms of all his potentials: physical, intellectual, spiritual, moral, i.e. the perfection of humanity.
